Cupar is on Dunc’s rounds, but not every street in a town is, the check is the only way to be sure.

Fife Council publishes these as its October to March hours, and prints no other set.
Closed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. It also shuts for lunch, 12.30pm to 1.15pm. All vehicles must book a slot before visiting. Fife residents only, and staff can ask for ID or proof of address.
Checked 12 October 2026 against Fife Council, who are the ones who can change it. Worth a look before you set off.
Or leave it at the door
The tip is free, and it opens 3 days a week: Thursday, Saturday, Sunday. If that suits you and you do not mind loading the car, use it. Plenty of people do.
What catches people out is the rest of it: it is shut four days a week, it shuts over lunch and every vehicle needs a slot booked before it turns in. Glass is the heaviest thing in the recycling and the one that breaks, and you are the one carrying it to the car and out of it again.
It is only 12 minutes in the car, there and back. Do that as often as we come and it is 2.6 hours a year of driving, and the driving is the easy part. The loading, the queue at the gate and the unloading all sit on top of it. And every bit of it has to happen on one of the 3 days the gate is open.
Dunc comes every 4 weeks for £5.00 a collection. Box out by 7am, no slot to book, no ID and no lunch hour. It goes to Sibelco Green Solutions to be recycled, same as it would from the tip.
No trips to the bottle bank
Glass is heavy, it is bulky and it breaks. Leave it at the door and let Dunc carry it.
£5.00 a collection
One box, every 4 weeks. No contract, stop when you like.
Actually recycled
Licensed waste carrier WCR/R/1197147. It goes to Sibelco Green Solutions to be recycled, not quietly into landfill.
What Dunc takes in Cupar
Bottles and jars of any colour: wine, beer, spirits, sauces, jam. Perfume bottles and toiletries too. Rinse anything that held food.
Mirrors, Pyrex, drinking glasses and light bulbs cannot be recycled and belong in general waste.
When he comes
Every four weeks, the same day each time, and we text and email you the night before so you are not trying to remember. Box out by 7am, wherever you tell him to look.
Cupar keeps it glassy!
