- Why use a doorstep collection at all?
- It saves you carting heavy, awkward, breakable stuff to a recycling point, and it means the glass actually gets recycled rather than ending up in the general bin.
- How often do you come?
- Every 4 weeks, on the same day each time. We text and email the night before so you are not trying to remember.
- What box do I need?
- Ours is a Wham Bam 45 litre recycled plastic box, 49.0 × 39.5 × 32.0 cm, with a secure lid so it can be stored outside. It holds about 30 wine bottles, or 45 beer bottles. £10.00 if you need one, and it is yours to keep, even if you stop. If you already have something suitable, use it.
- What can I put in it?
- Bottles and jars of any colour: wine, beer, spirits, sauces, jam. Perfume bottles and toiletries too. Rinse anything that held food.
- And what can't I?
- Mirrors, Pyrex, drinking glasses and light bulbs cannot be recycled and belong in general waste.
- Do you have a waste carrier licence?
- Yes, WCR/R/1197147.
- Do you collect from businesses?
- Yes. The box holds about 30 wine bottles, which suits plenty of offices, salons and small cafés that do not produce commercial volumes.
- Am I tied in?
- No. There is no contract, you can cancel whenever you like, and the box stays with you.
- I'm going away. Can I pause?
- Yes, from your account, for as long as you need. We will not collect or charge while you are paused.
- Something went wrong with my collection.
- Tell us from your account, there is a button for it, and it goes straight to the office with the details of that collection attached. Report a problem.
- Where do you collect?
- Across Dundee, Angus, Fife, Perthshire, Clackmannanshire, Stirling, the Lothians and Aberdeenshire, plus many smaller places around them. Check your postcode.
